WHAT IS HOTSHOT TRUCKING?
Hotshot Trucking (aka Hot Shot Transportation) is the service of transporting or expediting smaller loads or LTL (Less than truckload) for companies, farmers or any business that need quick shipment or overnight freight transported.
Hot Shot Truck driver are not required to have a CDL because all drivers must get a Motor Carrier Authority Number and receive approval from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration before they may operate vehicles or haul cargo weighing less than 10,000 pounds.
